ABOUT ME
Hi, I am Zhaokun (Ronald) Wang. After working in China for 4 years, I came to the United States and became a graduate student at SMU Guildhall.
From my previous work, I've gained lots of game development experience in multiplayer FPS and card trading games, however, I'm still looking forward to designing some games I'm keen on. Regarding my future career, I wish to become a game developer like Josef Fares, the director of <Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons> and <A Way Out>. The way he introduces gameplay and tells stories is so impressive to me. I'm also a big fan of <Detroit: Become Human> which is also a good example of using interactive technologies to create a game world.
I've been playing turn-based strategy games for 10+ years. From <Civilization V> to <Total War: Shogun 2>, from <Taiko Risshiden V> to <Romance of the Three Kingdoms>, I can't figure out how many day and night I've spent on them. Meanwhile, simulation games are also my favorites, especially city building games such as <Cities In Motion>, <Mini Metro>, <Railway Empire>, and <City XL>. I like to play different roles and experience different careers via games. Game is such a good carrier to bring impossible experience in real life.
In life, I like reading history stories and detective novels. Ken Follett, Agatha Christie, and Keigo Higashino are my favorite writers. Also, I like riding and traveling. Making friends on the trips and sharing our adventure stories is the coffee in my life.
Hope you have a better understanding of me and feel free to contact me please! Looking forwards to sharing more with you!
